Industry Awards Won by StoreLocal
On the glittering Gold Coast, the 2022 SSAA Awards for Excellence night was held in celebration of self storage industry leaders. StoreLocal was lucky enough to win a total of three prestigious awards including Facility of the Year for our Hendra site, Excellence in Sustainability and Excellence in Industry. These awards are a true reflection of our strong company values in innovation and providing world-class customer service to those who store with us. We have a primary goal of pushing things forward and working with the local community to provide the best service possible.
2022 Facility of the Year – StoreLocal Hendra
The Facility of the Year Award endeavoured to acknowledge excellence amongst facilities whose team, operations and overall performance were of the highest quality. StoreLocal Hendra is a state-of-the-art, cutting-edge facility solely focused on the customer and their needs. For us, our Hendra facility symbolises the dawn of a new phase for StoreLocal. The StoreLocal Hendra location contains Noke Smart Access Technology and ‘WorkLocal’ – a collaborative workspace that sees StoreLocal as a local business destination and not just a storage facility.
Our team have prioritised sustainability in the design including a water recycling system and solar power and energy conservation as a result of the smart thermal design and natural light in the facility. Convenience and ease of access is really important to us so we created a facility that featured drive up storage units and 24 hour keyless access.
2022 Excellence in Sustainability Award
The Excellence in Sustainability award recognised excellence in sustainable pursuits including initiatives in social, governance and environment that benefit the self storage facility, industry or wider community. StoreLocal Hendra placed first in this category. We embody these factors through efficient lighting and solar power, reducing water usage and our smart-access technology. We have adopted a wide range of eco-design principles in the facility by presenting strong ESG credentials by carefully choosing sustainable materials.
The entire facility was built around implementing sustainable design choices and energy-saving equipment to ensure our customer base receives positive messages on the responsibility of resources when experiencing our facilities. StoreLocal aims to contribute to a cultural change by raising awareness of what can be done to promote sustainability and building for the future.
2022 Excellence in Industry Award
We are honoured to be recognised as this year’s Excellence in Industry Award winner; known as “the all rounder award”. This category seeks to recognise excellence in leadership, education, transformation or other business projects that positively impact the self storage sector. Here at StoreLocal we manage over 30 facilities nationwide and are committed to developing ongoing relationships with our customer base and the local community. We have taken a customer-focused approach that is driven by our constant pursuit of innovation and pushing the boundaries of self storage. The digital age has seen us implement a number of unmanned facilities adopting transparent online pricing, automated customer feedback and single-page online move-ins.
We are firm believers that our growth and performance stem from the value of “being a local”. The impact we have on our local businesses and communities is extensive. This responsibility drives us to set high standards for ourselves and our peers to build services around customers.
